This is one of the best books I have read recently. Excellent writing and excellent editing. The plot is entertaining. The story deals with the anxieties that the hero and heroine keep hidden from their families and from each other. All of which creates more angst. These two characters are well developed and fleshed out. The tall, dark, and handsome hero has a sympathetic side he keeps hidden along with his anxieties. The heroine is hiding from a terrible experience in her past.
The setting is incredible. I want to make reservations to visit Snow Crystal Resort. The author cleverly uses rainy weather as a connecting theme throughout the book.
If the book has one weakness it is the dialogue. In some cases it goes on and on without the character coming up for breath. A little action interrupting the long conversations would be appreciated.
But that said, I finished the book satisfied with the healing—both physical and mental—that takes place by the conclusion. This book has complete resolution—it is not a cliffhanger. There will be another book in the fall and I intend to buy it.
